I am an educator and a creator in the field of puppetry, with a strong passion for puppet making, manipulation, and the creative process of developing performances.
Over the past few years, I have been creating and building puppets, studying and developing my skills through various puppetry courses, and creating and developing several performances for children. Through the process of creating and working on these performances, I discovered how much I want to deepen my knowledge of puppetry and further develop my skills in puppet construction, manipulation, and performance.

The Sufganiyah who didn't want to be a sufganiyah
An interactive children’s puppet theatre performance created for Hanukkah, inspired by the beloved Israeli story (הביצה שהתחפשה) Egg Dressed As, by Dan Pagis.
The story follows a large, round sufganiyah who wonders why she looks so different and struggles to understand where she belongs. Along her journey, she meets a ball, a balloon and other characters, trying to find someone who is like her. She also attempts to disguise herself as a clown and a rabbit, but none of these identities seem to fit.
Eventually, she arrives at the Hanukkah table and discovers that everyone has been waiting for her. She realizes that her unique shape is exactly what makes her special and that she has an important place in the celebration.
Performed in Swedish with elements of Hebrew, the show combines puppetry, storytelling, music and audience participation to introduce young children to simple Hebrew words while exploring themes of identity, belonging and self-acceptance.
The performance was developed specifically for children in the Jewish community in Sweden, combining cultural connection, language learning and theatrical play.

My Special Family
My Special Family is an interactive storytelling performance created for the Israeli community in Stockholm. The story explores identity, belonging, and the experience of feeling different while growing up in a non-Jewish environment.
Rimon is asked to write a school assignment about what makes her family special. As she looks around the apartment building, she discovers that every family has something unique about them. Each window reveals a different family and something that makes them special. Rimon, however, feels that her own family is “too ordinary” and struggles to find what makes them different.
When Sukkot arrives and her family begins preparing for the holiday and building their sukkah, Rimon discovers that her family is special in its own way. They are Jewish, they celebrate unique and joyful holidays, and they have traditions that connect them to their identity and community.
The visual world of the performance was inspired by apartment buildings I encountered in Stockholm. I created a building with individual windows that allow the audience to look inside and discover the silhouettes of the different families living there. This became the central visual element of the performance, combining shadow theatre with storytelling.
The performance was designed from the beginning to be interactive. The children are not simply watching the story, but actively participate by creating sounds and soundscapes for the scenes. Their voices and sounds help bring the world of the story to life and turn the performance into a shared experience.
I created the original story specifically for a Jewish community living in Stockholm, with the aim of exploring Jewish identity and the feeling of being different in a non-Jewish environment. Through the preparations for Sukkot, Rimon gradually discovers that what initially seemed to her “ordinary” and uninteresting is actually something unique, meaningful, and worth celebrating.

My Dream
My Dream is a storytelling puppet theatre performance created for Israel Independence Day for the Israeli community in Stockholm.
I wanted to create a performance introducing children to the story of the establishment of the State of Israel. I was inspired by the book My Dream (החלום שלי) by Racheli Fleischon, in which a grandfather tells his granddaughter about his dream of a Jewish state through photographs from a family album. I took this idea as a starting point and developed my own visual and theatrical world around it.
Instead of a traditional photo album, I used cardboard boxes I had at home and transformed them into places where memories are kept. Rather than placing photographs inside the boxes, I created a puppet or object representing a specific memory or moment from the story. I also changed the grandfather character into a grandmother, whom I performed myself. The granddaughter was represented by a puppet I had created using foam.
Inside the boxes, I created simple hand puppets that could be quickly changed during the performance, including Theodor Herzl, David Ben-Gurion, and the grandmother as a child. I also incorporated handmade objects such as origami airplanes and tanks, representing wars and historical events in a simple and accessible way for children.
The result was an immersive storytelling performance combining puppets, objects, and personal storytelling to make distant historical events tangible and accessible. Through the performance, children encounter important figures and moments in the history of Israel while experiencing the story through a playful theatrical language designed specifically for a young audience.

Shlomit's Sukkah
Shlomit's Sukkah is an interactive shadow theatre performance created for Sukkot.
The story begins when I want to build a sukkah but don't know how. I ask for help from Shlomit the beloved character from the song "Shlomit Builds a Sukkah" (שלומית בונה סוכה).
Together with the children, we look for the s'chach, choose decorations, and build the sukkah using the things around us. As we work, the sukkah takes shape, and at the end, the audience gets to see a shadow theatre performance inside the sukkah we built together.
Through a simple and warm story, the performance brings to life the joy of Sukkot, the feeling of working together, and the beauty of tradition all through shadow theatre and active participation.
